Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic

On October 20th, 2026, Federico will be awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic, the highest-ranking honour of the Italian Republic, in recognition of his distinguished service to the nation in the field of music and arts.

Federico says: “It is an honor that means a great deal to me, especially because it recognizes the role of an artist, which is ofter regarded within society -and often perceived by society- as marginal if not even superfluous. It is also a recognition of the artistic journey I’ve taken, and therefore the people who have made that journey possible.”

Review from recital at Tiroler Festspiele Erl

Federico Colli at the Erl Festival: A Piano Poet in a State of Creative Ecstasy.
He does not seek to dazzle with pianistic brilliance, but to probe the deepest layers of the music. At the Erl Festival, he captivated the audience through the sheer intensity of his performances of Janáček and Prokofiev, while offering strikingly original readings of Schubert and Mozart—highly individual, profoundly respectful, and charged with restless inner tension.
At the piano, Colli is both a poet and an unconventional thinker.
